Awesomepreneur Proudly Presents Chalchihuitán’s First Telenovela

Here’s a great big piece of heartwork for your Friday morning: Amores Chalchihuitecos, a social soap opera written by Las Jades y El Cielo, the youth theater collective I direct in Chalchihuitán, a community in Chiapas, Mexico. As I share on RKA in LA, my blog on art and activism in Latin America, helping my students produce their first original work was one of the single best things I have ever done.

And now I simply can’t withhold my excitement any longer. I am thrilled to share Las Jades y El Cielo and my heartwork: Amores Chalchihuitecos, a telenovela that explores the culture of domestic violence, based on eight young artists’ personal experiences. Enjoy.
